Traumatic experiences, life-obstacles, and their consequences are endemic across the Mott Haven community. Many receive help through a variety of programs while others remain largely unserved. G2 Helps aims to served our unserved neighbors while making sure those within our programs don't "fall through the cracks."

Graffiti 2 is  currently aware of and responding to the unique needs of three unserved or underserved populations: 1) asylum seekers, 2) individuals living with addiction, and 3) young adults (those aged 20-30 years). To these neighbors we aim to offer a helping hand.

Graffiti 2 compiles and updates city-wide resources that are available, provides one-on-one assistance in accessing resources, and provides opportunities for these individuals and families to network with one another.

Graffiti 2 conducts outreach to individuals living with addiction through Stop & Care Outreaches. Stop & Care Outreaches involve meeting a tangible need by providing coffee, food, a backpack of supplies, and an invitation to come to Graffiti 2's Ministry Center for other activities and support. Relationships are built as consistent volunteers often encounter the same individuals on the street. For individuals who are ready and willing to take steps towards life transformation, Graffiti 2 provides referrals to applicable agencies or organizations. Additionally, Graffiti 2 provides ongoing support and case management to individuals as they navigate these systems.

For young adults (20-30 year olds) living in NYC,  stability and independence can be hard to find. The pitfalls of our neighborhood only compound what are common experiences at this transitional age: poor mental health, purposelessness, and housing instability. In response, Graffiti 2 doesn't offer a program, but instead offers what we all desperately need: friendship. Graffiti 2 is intentional to develop and build relationships with this population. This takes place through one-on-one meals, mentoring, providing a listening ear, and offering well-timed help in times of trouble.

Social Work Tuesdays provide a helping hand to our neighbors by offering a consistent opportunity for people to get help with problems they face. From housing to healthcare, court battles to food insecurity, Graffiti 2 provides a listening ear, holistic support, referrals to services, and consistent and coordinated follow-up.
