Andrew, the pastor and director of Graffiti 2, was blessed with an opportunity to speak at the National Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) Board Meeting January 11-13 in Birmingham, AL. Learning of his trip to Birmingham, David George, a Graffiti 2 Ambassador and the WMU Foundation President, invited Andrew to come down a day early. Consider what his advocacy accomplished:
- David arranged for Andrew to meet several key WMU leaders
- Set up an interview with the Alabama Baptist state paper. CLICK ON THE FOLLOWING LINK TO READ THE ARTICLE: Alabama Baptist
- Held a dinner for a small group of his friends to learn about the work of Graffiti 2
- Hosted an event called “Meet the Missionaries” at Shades Crest Baptist Church. This event drew nearly fifty individuals from 6 churches. Many of those in attendance brought gift cards to support G2’s work.
A big thanks to David for his advocacy, passion in telling the story, and invitation for others to participate in God’s work in Mott Haven through Graffiti 2.
What can you do to be a Graffiti 2 Ambassador?
G2 is praying for 50 Ambassadors in 2014 to help sustain and expand God’s mission for us in Mott Haven.
Graffiti 2 Ambassadors have the opportunity of having an exponential impact. It begins by simply promoting the good news you hear from Graffiti 2. Pass on our newsletters, share our website, Twitter and Facebook updates, tell the stories of God’s work here in Mott Haven.
Then consider facilitating the giving of others. Here are two options:
- Hold a special fundraiser such as a BBQ, Walk-a-thon, bake sale or car wash
- Or create a circle of giving. Circles of giving begin with an individual or group setting a fundraising goal. Rallying their network of friends, colleagues and family to meet this goal, they tell the story of Graffiti 2, inviting others to participate by being Graffiti 2 Givers and Ambassadors.
